Costa Blanca Restaurants

During your next holiday, you should make it a priority to find ways to spend your time that are unique to your destination. Tour a cathedral built of medieval architecture, or maybe visit an art museum with paintings done by local artists. Another way to get a flavor for the culture of a country, region, or town is by sampling some of its cuisine. Few things set one culture apart from another quite like its food; when asked to differentiate the customs of Spain and Italy, for example, you may consider that one country serves pasta while the other serves tapas. By taking advantage of some of the fine Costa Blanca restaurants, you’ll understand why Europeans and international travelers alike consider this region of Spain to be one of the greatest travel destinations in the world.

Of course, most of the restaurants in Costa Blanca focus heavily on Spanish cuisine. You’re likely to find tapas and paella almost everywhere you dine. Because it is a coastal region, seafood also casts a certain influence on many of the menus you’ll see. Fish and shellfish are creatively worked into many dishes, and oftentimes you’ll find Spanish seafood plates. Keep in mind that Costa Blanca is a popular tourist hub, which means that you can probably find restaurants that cater to all nationalities. Italian, Chinese, and Indian restaurants are all scattered about the region.

If you do your homework, you’ll be glad to discover some of the world-renowned Costa Blanca restaurants. Just outside the town of Denia is the Casa Pepa Restaurant, set in the confines of a beautiful and old Spanish villa. As you sit on the terrace and look out over the Mediterranean landscape of olive and orange groves, you might try their grilled calamari or venison steak. Near the fishing village of Santa Pola is Restaurante Batiste, which specializes in seafood with a Spanish flair. The daily catch comes fresh out of the Mediterranean Sea, and whether you choose a fish or shellfish dish, you’re not likely to be dissatisfied. Wherever you turn in Costa Blanca, you’ll find a mouth watering restaurant waiting to whet your palette.
